Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was the first to achieve a perfect 10 during an Olympic event. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was six years old. She first competed in the national junior championships in 1969 placing 13th and she was the winner in the year 1970. She won three golds in her debut competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 that was held by the communist bloc nations. Between 1973 and 1974 she won the junior champion in all-round competitions. At her first competitive event at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals, as well being awarded a silver. The first female to do the reverse double salo of the uneven parallel bar when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment field by performing in the form of figure skater. Together with her younger brother Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer in her teens. At the age of 13 she was a figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. Ice Capades showcased performances of skaters ice skating performed by actors.
