April Lockhart, born in 1995 on July 4th July, began taking lessons on piano and guitar at seven years old. She was interested in writing songs was ignited. In April, when she was 12 years old She composed her debut single, Different. At the age of 14 April was a big devotee of her time to creating and playing with songs. The songwriting began along with her dad at home in NY and LA soon after. April included other subjects in her song"Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled with issues such as peer pressure disabilities or even teen suicidal thinking. Her birth was without a left hand, and it's part of her story, but that's not the entire story. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't hide her disability but doesn't just focus on the issue. The message? We all have multiple aspects of identities and we're more than our physical selves. Lockhart in a video message from Nashville at home, claims I don't want this to define myself. I'm greater than the physical person I am. This doesn't interfere with my daily life. It's all normal, and I have learned to adapt. Because it's an integral part of me and something worth talking about. Lockhart's self-acceptance journey is one that can last for a long time, and she is an inspiration in this regard. However, she acknowledges going through periods of being uncomfortable with her body at times not being confident in wearing certain types of clothing which showed off her arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she wants. And she posts her photos on social media. What makes self-love so appealing to her is the fact that it's not a destination. It's true for all regardless of their degree of self-confidence. I think that having people with you who understand you and can see your feelings is crucial as they'll be the ones who will remind you what you worrying about?
