Jenna Fischer's most famous role was in the role of Pam Beesly from the popular television show The Office. In recognition of her work, she was awarded the Emmy award for the Best Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won two SAG Awards.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne who was a church performer. This instilled in her a passion for theater.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots following the completion of The Office. The role she played was Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway drama Reasons to Be Happy. She then starred in Steve Martin's latest production Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for record-breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer began the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf on October, 2019. The podcast soon was a hit. Every week it ranked within the Top Ten in global downloads and had more than 200 million downloaded in the first couple years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life was her debut book that describes the path she traveled starting in St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood and then to Hollywood, where she was an actress professionally. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography of her best friend and her experience at The Office.
